Product Information
What is the Svan High Chair?
The Svan High Chair is the only ergonomically designed high chair to grow with your child from six months to adulthood. It has a fully adjustable seat depth to provide optimum torso
support. It starts as a traditional high chair and functions safely without the tray to seat your child at the table. The safety guard can be removed to allow your child to step up
into the chair on their own in the Svan Youth Chair configuration. Eventually, it becomes a full-size chair for the teen or even an adult.
How do you pronounce ‘Svan’ and what does it mean?
Svan is pronounced like Swan with a ‘v’. In fact, it is the Swedish word for swan because of the swan neck shaped curves of the main beam.
Is the Svan High Chair/Youth Chair Safety Certified?
The Svan High Chair was designed around the rigorous safety standards in Europe and is certified in the U.S. to meet the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) safety
standards. These standards are developed by industry members, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), consumer groups, and other interested parties. In addition, Svan
participates in the JPMA Safety Certification Program which is a voluntary safety program assuring compliance with all federal and voluntary safety standards applicable to a category of
juvenile products, along with a random retail testing component to ensure that the product purchased in stores meets the same standards as those samples sent to testing labs. Look for
the JPMA certification seal on every Svan High Chair. See www.jpma.org for more information on the JPMA testing program.

The single best feature of the Svan High Chair is its tremendous versatility. It can be used as a traditional high chair with a tray, but remove the tray and even a young infant can

table. It eventually becomes a full-size chair. Best of all, the style of the Svan High Chair is never compromised through all of these stages.
I have seen several adjustable high chairs on the market. How are the Svan High Chair adjustments different?
The Svan High Chair is the only adjustable high chair with a two dimensional seat space adjustment. The seat height and seat depth can be adjusted to properly fit your child. The
footrest also features adjustable height and depth dimensions. These adjustments ensure ergonomic support for your child no matter their age or stage of development.

Troubleshooting
What if my Svan High Chair/Svan Youth Chair is cracked?
It’s easy to get new parts and order accessories for your Svan High Chair/Svan Youth Chair. Simply contact Customer Service at SCIService@SCIChild.com or 919.747.8510. A representative will be happy to help with your request.
Why is my tray sloping?
The tray is probably sloping because the seat is not attached to the main beam in the proper position. If the seat base is attached to the main beam lower then it needs to be, the
tray will slope. First, make sure that the seat base and seat is at the highest position on the main beam. It should be within one inch of the top of the upper groove in the main beam.
Then adjust the connection between the guard and the crotch bar so the top of the guard is parallel to the floor.
Will I ever need to tighten the hardware in my Svan High Chair/Youth Chair?
Your chair hardware may loosen after assembly. This is a result of the natural materials maturing. Please be sure to tighten your hardware about a month after initial assembly and
periodically check for loose hardward, particularly after transporting the chair. This is very common with high quality wooden tables and chairs. The Manufacturer recommends checking
the hardware on your Svan High Chair at least monthly to ensure it is tight and properly adjusted to your child.
Can I put my Svan High Chair/Youth Chair up to the height of a bar?
The Svan High Chair is not designed to sit up to a countertop or bar-height table. The Svan High Chair was designed to sit up to the height of an average dining table, typically 30
inches high.
Why does my crotch bar not attach to the guard?
First, make sure that the seat is no more than 1 inch down from the highest position. Then, double check that you are attaching the crotch bar properly. The end with the hole should
connect with the inside edge of the guard and the end with the open groove should go under the seat.
How do I fix a loose tray?
If you have a loose tray, it is likely that the screws on the tray clips are not completely in place. Check to see that the screws are as tight as possible, particularly the ones
closest to the bend in the tray clip. Even just a slight turn of a screw can make a difference. If the tray clips are tight and the tray is still loose please contact Customer Service
at 919.747.8510 or SCIService@SCIChild.com
