The Nordic’s patent-pending convertible seat supports a child in the correct ergonomic sitting position through each stage of development. Depending on the chosen position and child’s size, the seat can easily be made wider or smaller. The carrier’s streamlined design allows for seamless transitions between carrying styles and the carrier’s high performance fixed shoulder straps alleviate physical stress for the wearer. The carrier also allows the wearer to adjust the straps while in use making this carrier comfortable, versatile and easy to use.
Tested for use with infants from 7 to 42 pounds (3.2 kg to 19 kg), the Nordic Carrier’s five standard seating positions are as follows: (1) front facing in narrow seat for infants seven pounds to six months; (2) front facing in wide seat for infants five to 42 pounds; (3) front facing out for use with infants four to 42 pounds; (4) back position for infants six months to 42 pounds; and (5) hip position for infants six months to 42 pounds. A sixth position, cradle or sling carry, can be added with the use of the separate infant cradle insert ($20.00).
