The handled bowl, basket and spatula are top rack, dishwasher safe. All other parts (the blade, for example) should be hand washed with a mild detergent. It is recommended that you descale your appliance regularly to ensure long product life. First, be sure the unit is unplugged. Then, simply add equal parts of white vinegar and water to the reservoir. Leave this sitting overnight and then empty. Now, simply rinse the unit by running two heating cycles with fresh, distilled water. Never use chemical or coffee machine descalers in the Babycook reservoir.
